Creating Effective Emails

Now that you are starting to build your list you need to learn the key features of list building that will make you a huge success. Once you learn these steps you will be able to write killer emails that get opened time and time again producing results for your business.

Step #1 Before You Write

It is important to know you will not be writing the best emails right after this course. It takes time but once mastered you will do these steps without even thinking about them. There is one tool you need to add to your arsenal right now. Your own domain name – When promoting a affiliate product or service you are hit with one ugly URL. By having your own domain name you can then redirect a professional looking url to this affiliate page. For example http://3ab75poorer7t8p3uczeri33bu.hop.clickbank.net/ is a click bank affiliate url. By owning your own domain you can now direct your readers to http://www.yourdomain.com/recommends/product This looks much better inside an email and encourages a higher clickthru ratio. You can register a domain name with NPN and have your sites hosted by them too.

Before you start writing think about what your intentions are about the email you are creating. When creating your outline there are 5 questions you need to answer.

1. Who are you?
2. What do you want?
3. Why should I care?
4. What’s in it for me?
5. What do I do now?

Step #2 Your Subject Line

When your creating your subject line you need to spark curiosity while giving away a small hint at what is inside. An example of this would be “Secret revealed that will blow your competition away!” This inclines the reader to open up the email to find out what this secret is.

Another tactic that can be used is by asking a question but to make it as general as possible within your niche. An example of this type of subject line would be “How often do you make this mistake when XXX?” XXX would be the name of your niche you are working in.

A third tactic is to make your subject line benefit oriented. An example of this would be “You can boost your income by 20% overnight” This makes readers wonder what this new tactic is and that they can put it into place and get results fast.

The forth and final tactic is a scare tactic which has been used with much success lately. An example of it would be “This is for serious marketers only!” It creates a sense of exclusivity and prompts the reader to open your email and find out more.

Step #3 Your Email Content

Now that they have opened your email you need to create value to keep the reader wanting your product . Within the first few sentences be sure to get to the point and tell the reader what this email is about.

Within the body of the email create key bullet points that make your product or service unique from others and how it will save them time or money. As you are writing the body of your email make sure you include small key phrases to keep them wanting more such as… As a result, Let’s not forget, Why? and Guess what? This keeps your readers engaged and wanting to read more.

The most important step is your closing. Without a good closing your reader will not click on the link and buy or sign up. You need a strong call to action here on what you want your reader to do. Do you want your reader to buy a product? Then tell them how to with further steps. Do you want your reader to spread the word of your website to their friends? Show them the affiliate program and how they can easily do so to earn a commission.

You need to give your reader a reason to act now. If you don’t the could hold off on buying your product forever! Creating a reason to take action now can be done in many ways. Offer a limited time discount on the product, limit the number you will be giving away before the price goes up.

6 Sure Signs of the Best Home Business

There are many, some say millions, of people looking for the best home business that will fit them. The best home business for your needs must fit your requirements.
Here are six areas to look. The best will have all six fit you perfectly. Only, you will have to try them on first. Success is a function of learning from your failures. The only way to guarantee failure is to quit.

1. A company and its track record.
I wonder what the attraction is to prelaunch, brand new and get in before anyone else does. Participating in these kinds of offers will almost guarantee your failure if you have never participated in a home business before. If you are looking for the first time or never made a real profit from a previous home business we suggest you only look at companies that have passed through the hoops that separate losers from winners.
Any business less than two years old is still in post dream building stage. One reason your friendly government over sight pays so little attention in the first two years is most companies don’t see their second birthday. Companies in the two to four year age group that are thriving suggest everything is in place for the long term and you still have flexibility and huge potential. Companies over four years old that are growing and thriving are the next best place to be trained in what works. Global NPN has been her 5+ years.

2. What does the company have to offer?
Whatever the company is selling or offering be sure it is something you already use, want or need. If it saves you money, time or both that’s even better. There are people who can promote something they could care less about. The rest of us however cannot fake sincerity.
There are products we think are always overpriced. Selling information is number one. With a little time spent at your favorite search engine you will likely discover it or its exact copy can be had for no cost somewhere online. All too often information is window dressing for an overpriced, worthless money game of one sort or another. The next ‘product’ not worth your time is anything that will likely cost less in the next two years or sooner. Everything related to communication and most technology ‘good deals’ are in this group. Something that sells for $100 today, that was $400 only last year will cost $20 next year, be free or be obsolete in two.
Reread number one. Companies with a good to great track record have products that people want and are willing to pay to have. Anything consumable, especially if it tastes good, has serious potential for extreme long term growth. If it’s unique and makes a difference right now give the company and its products a long, long look.

3. Cost of entry must fit your budget.
If you haven’t heard CASH is in short supply when you start any business. There will be dozens and potentially hundreds of things you ‘need’ to support your new business. Besides the cost of entry there are monthly costs and marketing can send you to the poor house unless you maintain a tight budget. If you have a current job, you may increase your take home pay because you have ‘new’ tax deductions you have been spending money on for years. Identify all, or at least as many as you can, of the monthly costs you will incur to operate your new business. Can you and are you willing to spend the money for the next six months or longer before you break even? The flow of life often has a ‘funny’ way of calling you on your commitments. Something will happen that tests your mettle. Those who stay the course, win.

4. Keep it simple, the fewer the steps the better.
Unless you really like to play store, or already have one, you do not want a program that has you do anything besides find new people. In today’s world a garage full of product is not only illegal but unnecessary. Production, packaging, shipping, billing are all done by the company for every legitimate home business program today. Personal use and samples should be the total of your monthly product requirements. Find another company if that is not the case.

5. How do you attract new customers with the company’s marketing plan?
The marketing system in use must be something you will use that fits you. Again review number one above. There are many ways to market products and opportunities. If you are unwilling to learn new ways, strategies or your only commitment is in using your skills not related to the company’s plan you may want to consider a different opportunity more in alignment with you. Another consideration is the additional cost some companies ask of you for their ‘marketing’ system. If you or they have a system you can easily plug into that allows potential customers to find you easily, the process is much simpler and profits occur quicker.

6. Compensation plans must be understandable and show you how to succeed.
Even if you are only paid an hourly wage you know what needs to happen and what you need to do to have your wages increase. In the beginning it is usually only a time function. The more time you work the more money you make but as your experience and productivity increase so does your hourly wage. Every company has a compensation plan. Many are tortured examples of the unexplainable. In general the best ones all work based on the longer you participate and the more people you find. A quick way to look at home business compensation plan is to ask how many people must be in your organization purchasing the average monthly product order to make $1000, $10,000 and $20,000.
How many people will you have to find to have one person ordering every month? Typically the more levels you get paid the less each person is worth. If you know how many people you need to produce the income you are after what you must do to find them will become clear. The other consideration is how many people does it take to break even? The more complicated and the more levels paid the more people it will take in the beginning to break even. If it takes over a 1000 to make a $1000 and you need 10 or more to cover your costs each month and most people only average two ever you may want to keep looking.
If you spend some time with a company’s compensation plan it will show you where and how to spend your time and energies. Find out how often the company has changed their plan and did it cause people to leave or make more money? The industry has come a long way in the last 60 years. There are compensation plans that really are a work of art, that produce a remarkable amount of income in record time and once you see their power you will never go back to a salary or hourly job again.

Summary

One of these six areas will push your hot button. If one positively hooks you remember the other six must rise to some level of acceptance too. Once that occurs, you may ignore or quit looking any further. Compare and ask what if. Sleep on it more than one night but once you know you have found the right one for you, jump in with both feet as soon as possible. Put your blinders on join NPN and stay on the path for six months minimum and for real value one year. If you could purchase a brand new McDonald’s you would not expect to break even for two to three years and not be in six figure monthly profit for five years. Do you have a couple million dollars to begin? There is a home business out there with your name on it that meets all six areas for you and will provide you with a McDonald’s income in the same five year time period if that is what you are looking for. Winning Flags

In my last post I looked at six red flags. Six areas that when they
appear we suggest you at least raise a caution flag regarding your
participation. This post will take a quick look at winning flags or
when touched on suggest your look further at the opportunity.

Time is your most precious asset. You and everyone else gets the same
24 hours a day. Global NPN was built in such a way that if you dedicate
a couple hours a day to find others who do the same you will leverage
your and their time. Programs that only pay you one time on your
effort are old school and usually are only found at a job. JP Getty said,
"I'd rather have 1% of the effort of 100 men than 100% of my own effort."
The more time you spend helping others the more people who will help you
get what you want. I recommend you spend 95% of your time marketing,
building your list in as many ways as you can find.

Patience … gestation … NO ONE, NOT ONE TIME, has made a fortune overnight
at anything, ever. You must be prepared to go at least six months without
being in profit. Given how much you get at little cost at Global NPN I
recommend you give this one year before you even consider quitting.
Many people are in profit their first month and so can you.
Commit to having it happen even if it takes you twelve months. The gestation
period, the time it takes from when you plant the seed until the seed
breaks ground and then the time it takes for the plant to bear fruit is
obvious when you plant a garden the second time. Give yourself time to
have your plans break even and then produce long everlasting fruit.

Spending money to make money is a common refrain. Global NPN was designed
so you do not spend money on hosting, websites, program management,
autoresponders and other features everyone else offers as required ways
to spend money to make money. Once you have set up your site and have some
number of people on your list, it is time to spend money, to prime the pump.

If you are unwilling to spend $20 per month for a membership in a moneymaking
program...QUIT, immediately! You are wasting your time! You must spend money,
to make money...Period!

Income streams and residual incomes for most people are nonexistent.
A job is NOT an income stream. It is at best a good pump that as long as
you ‘work’ it, the income you produce pays for some of your effort. Your
work is an income stream for your employer and all the governments you
pay taxes based on your ‘income’ but not for you. If you find a ‘job’
that pays you for ‘work’ you did yesterday and last year I want to know
about it. In the beginning you will have to continue feeding Global NPN
with your daily efforts and at some point the income will become perpetual.

Your best efforts at adding leads will make the difference. Learning the
various methods of adding leads to your NPN site will take time, patience
and eventually money.

"Red Flag" Marketing Techniques

Marketing is finding people who already want and are looking for what you have to offer.   The ‘sale’ is much easier if what you have is what they want. There are a number of techniques used in marketing that we think should raise a red flag every time you come across one. Be cautious when you are surfing and viewing sites. The following techniques work and work especially well with those of us uneducated in the ploys of marketing.

There are six methods we find to be the most obnoxious and could be called our biggest pet peeves. This email will only touch on the six now and in a later email I will develop each one in more detail. Once you identify these six methods you will begin to see them used all over the internet and everywhere else for that matter. The more of the six used in one ad or web site the more likely the ‘product’ is a waste of your money and especially your time.

1.    Branding is more than the logo or the name. It is over time a reputation earned. Great reputations can be lost with one bad act or mistake. Some ‘brands’ make it an art form walking the line between great material and a con job. You have seen the “TOP SECRET” promotions by “Guru” names promoting ‘must have’ information that without it you will continue to fail. Somehow the pages of marketing copy never say what ‘it’ is.

2.    You have no doubt already met the friend of the hard sell. The fear of loss is an old technique now seen just after you take the bait and is most often used with programs you have no idea how it will work or perform. It is the One Time Offer or OTO that when you say no they have another one and often one more too good to be true after that and every time saying it will never be available again. If you pay attention you will discover the OTO will reappear sooner or later with the same dire warnings. If what was being sold was really worth it you would never see it as an OTO.

3.    The one technique that makes the least amount of sense is ‘you don’t have to do anything’ to make money except fork over a paycheck or some portion every month and they will do the rest. What do they need you for if there is so much money why don’t they just ignore you and take the opportunity for themselves?

4.    Guarantees have their place. You will begin to notice that the previous ‘do-nothing’ opportunity usually has a great guarantee. Most of you know that the extended warranty is a money maker for the store and the salesman.   The longer the guarantee the less likely it is implemented. Companies offer guarantees to secure your trust and when most are either forgotten or lost the vast majority did their job. They moved you to the cashier to spend your money.

5.    The “Rag to Riches” stories of down to their last tube of ketchup and in the shortest time possible they are a millionaire are laughable! The got rich quick guys we know all spent years of preparation before they got rich quick. Just because it’s too good to be true does not make it false. It does raise a red flag.

6.    After seeing a fantastic movie your testimonial the next day to everyone you know sells some tickets. They didn’t send you a commission either. All too often, especially on web sites, you will see the same names and pictures supporting with their testimonial what a fabulous opportunity this is. Tie this in with number one above and you will begin to notice a new trend in joint ventures where “Gurus” of all stripes promote and testify about each other’s great product. Again this may not be wrong and if you have bought a book lately the jacket cover is full of testimonials by other authors of similar material. Red Flag it and the more red flags a site has the less likely it could possibly live up to its copy banter.

There is nothing illegal about these six red flags and depending on the context they may only be a bright yellow caution flag instead.   In a later email I will share six flags we strive for. There are flags that like the checkered flag waved at the race winner or battle flags that are a sign of a group to be reckoned with and there are flags that we stand and salute. There are at least six such flags in network marketing.

The Number One Tool for NPN Success

I want to share with you what I believe is the number one
tool that you have in your arsenal to becoming a long term success
in Global NPN/network marketing.

But before I do that I'd like to ask you,
"What do YOU think your best and most effective tool is for
growing your MLM business?"

Is it your company's audio program, DVD or online video presentation?

Is it your company magazine, brochure or sizzle cards?

Could it be your company's or your team's replicated website
recruiting system?

Perhaps it's your team or company's online training system where
you can get your new distributors up to speed.

All of these are fantastic tools and there's probably a lot more
tools that I didn't mention and each one is important.

But if you're like most MLM companies...

...even with all these great tools to find, recruit, and train
distributors, I'll bet you still experience a very high attrition rate.

Why is that?

Why is it that even with the most advanced technology and even
the greatest programs aren't enough to keep people in the game?

I'll share with you my opinion and observations.

Usually the reason that people quit, is because they simply
don't have a good enough reason for continuing on.

You see, this business can get difficult at times and the normal,
everyday person isn't equipped to handle the ups and downs that
you experience in MLM.

But I'm a firm believer that most everyone can do just about
anything if they have a big enough reason for doing it.

Victor Frankl was a psychologist and also a jewish prisoner
in a German concentration camp during World War 2.
He watched many people give up and die and he also witnessed
many people stay the course and survive.
From his observations, he wrote a book titled,
"Man's Search for Meaning."

In it he concluded that the common thread for those people
who survived was that they had a powerful reason for staying alive.
He said, "He who has a 'why' can bear with almost any how."
By that statement he meant that if you have a reason for doing
something that is deeply motivating and inspiring, that there's
almost nothing that can stop you from doing that thing.

That's why I've found that the people that stay the course
and go the distance, no matter what obstacle is in their way,
are those people who have an extremely powerful reason for
doing the business.

So let me ask you, what is YOUR reason for doing this business?

much ridicule or rejection you face, no matter what mistakes
your company makes, no matter what your upline or downline does,
no matter how many people quit on you, you still hang
tough and stick with it?

If you don't, I predict that eventually you'll quit this business or
you already have.

Let me share a little secret with you. There have been many
times where I've wanted to quit this business. Yes, it's true.
Even leaders in your company want to quit sometimes.

But every time my thoughts go there, I think of why I'm doing this
business. I think of my precious daughter and my little boy
and my amazing wife. I think of their security.

I won't go into details, but I have an illness that will require
a major surgery in the next few years. Every surgery is a risk.
You just never know what can happen on the operating table.

If something happens to me, I want my family to be well taken
care of. That my reason. That's my "why."

So what I've done is I've taken a little 3x5 card, printed
a photo of my family on it and written what I call my
"Why Statement" on the card. I carry it with me everywhere I go.

When I feel depressed or down, I take out that card and
look at it and it reminds me why I'm doing this business
and why I need to make that next phone call or invite that
next person to view my company's presentation.

It gives me strength and helps me to rededicate myself.
So my "Why Card" has been the key to me staying in the game.

I suggest that you find out what it is that motivates you.
Do this. Write down 20 reasons why you're doing this business.
Narrow it down to the single most powerful reason and focus
on that. Make that your "Why Statement."

And once you have yours, immediately help your team members
to create their "why statement" so that they have the staying
power they need to be successful.

Help every new person that you bring into the business to create
their own "why statement" and "why card." It should be one of
the first things that you do.

This will become the most powerful tool in your entire MLM arsenal.

Good morning or Good Evening, Depending on where in the world you are.

Today I am going to talk about creating trust with your
list.

In order to establish credibility and trust with your prospects
you should focus on:

1.Following up with your prospects right away through email and
phone.

2. Broadcast regularly (send a email) - You may be thinking what do I say or do.

Talk about you and why you are in this industry. One of the easiest things to do believe it
or not is get your webcam (I've just bought one) and just talk about what you have achieved for the day.
Maybe you just figured out how to get leads, share that with your list.

You can even just do a simple 1 or 2 min video just to let your prospects know you
found something really special they need to check out. Sometimes you may read a
good blog post somewhere or someone else has video that you liked , send them
that information. Don't always think about how you are going to profit from it!

You should be thinking how are the members of your list going to benefit from that
knowledge. Believe me if you are the person that points them in the right direction
they will remember YOU.

3. Establishing credibility takes time, it is normal to have someone on your list for
months and than one day out of the blue they decide to buy something off of you or
join your business. People love to buy => they don't like being sold. People do love
to buy on their own terms.

4. Always respond back! - If you see a prospect trying to get in contact with you and
you have their phone # Call them! They are looking for you OR the first person that contacts them.

5. Start your own blog and whenever you write in your blog share that
link with your list via rss feed or broadcast. I recommend having lots
of pictures of you and your life on your blog. Write about whats on your
mind. A good way to monitize blogs besides affiliate links is through
ad networks, such as Adsense.

All of this might seem difficult at first but it does get
easier as time goes on.

I will wager that the internet marketer that puts the time and effort into really helping his customers, by offering appropriate levels of support, by giving quality information and by answering inquiries quickly and honestly will outsell the fancy Dan with the flash graphics and constant trail of borderline spam urging his clients to buy his latest regurgitated eBook.

There is no substitute for integrity, no amount of fancy graphics or colourful sales copy can hide it and even the greenest “newbie” will appreciate it when he encounters it. Developing that sense of integrity is difficult to project in a website or blog – one way to stand out is to display a banner showing that you are approved by various organisations. I personally prefer Graham Hamer’s eTrust banners, but there are several others that will also convey that impression, but a banner is just a banner – you need to back it up with your actions

You need to project your integrity in you dealings with people, by recommending legitimate real products that are useful, by answering inquiries as soon as possible and by quickly and cheerfully providing refunds when appropriate. Your mailing series needs to be informative without being pushy and written in a conversational style that is sincere and believable and above all you need to be approachable.

For all the advantages that this technological age gives the entrepreneur, it is worth remembering that sometimes automated technology can hinder a potential business relationship.

Internet Marketing is all about automation. Advertising, prospecting, and selling can all be done hands free and this makes the netpreneur’s job “easy.” However, it does not matter how good your auto-responder series is, no matter how well written your sales copy, some people just won’t get it and let’s face it we have all been there at some time and that’s when we need to be responsive to the requests for help

I get tired of reading “gurus” bemoan newbies as time wasters and troublesome. Everybody is new at some stage and sometimes they just need a helping and along the way. If you take the time to understand what the customers needs are – you can really build a positive long lasting business relationship and when you make a recommendation to somebody who knows and trusts you they will give it due consideration.

Many people ask me “why do I need NPN when I already have a business to promote?”.

The answer is fairly simple but a lot of people still don’t really get it.
Let’s assume that your main business that you want to promote is a ‘Health Drink’ business. You will probably find out pretty quickly that it’s very difficult to find quality targeted leads for your business. After all, you have a very specific business, with a very specific market. It’s not easy (or cheap) to find the right leads that will want to join you in your business. This is also the case no matter what your ‘primary’ business is.

Here’s where NPN comes in. As you know, NPN is a suite of marketing tools and training material that ‘every’ online marketer needs to succeed in generating leads for their own business. Lead generation is the most difficult part of online marketing, especially when your business has a very specific market. That’s why we need GlobalNPN at the top of our marketing funnel.

Which scenario would you rather be a part of?

Scenario #1: You’re trying to get distributors for your Health Drink business. So.. you go out and buy some advertising for your Health Drink website. Today I want to talk to you about something it seems, many people
don't speak about.

Before you go any further with us please realize it doesn't matter
what pre-launch is coming out, it does not matter what products are
being sold.

The secret to success is not in the product, the secret of
success is in your ability to drive a huge amount of traffic
and develop a relationship with your subscribers.

I have been asked several times which product is the best product
to sell online. The products do matter but not as much as the
process of learning how to get traffic.

When it comes down to it, all you are doing is advertising

Many times people join one business for a month or two and
think, I am not getting any results I need to find something

You Are Losing Signups

Are you doing any of the following:
>Promoting a replicated website on a traffic exchange?
>Typing the website in when you submit it somewhere?
>Promoting the wrong site?
>Spending more time signing up for new programs then
promoting the ones you are already a member of?
>Passing up on free text and banner ads because you read
somewhere that they do not work?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, than the odds
are you are losing signups.

If you use traffic exchanges please take a few minutes to
understand how they work. You should look at a traffic exchange
the same way you look at window shopping at a mall. What do
stores in the mall put in the windows? The best they have to
offer. They know that people are there to shop and the one
way to attract them to come in is to show them the best offerings
they have. Traffic exchanges are the exact same way. People are
using traffic exchanges to earn credits they are more than likely
surfing 5 or more exchanges and you only have a few seconds at
the most to get their attention. You need to make them go
at traffic exchanges. The best way to do this is with a splash page.
Even better, create your own splash page. This will make you stand out even more as
it will be something new and fresh to the surfer and they are much
more likely to at least look at it.

You want a page that loads almost instantly. A traffic exchange user is not going to say
"Boy, this must be a really good site since it is taking 25 seconds to load,
I think I will stop surfing and wait for it"

I see many mistakes that could only be made by typing in a website name.
Many traffic exchange programs use instant approval and do not even
look at the sites so if you do type in something wrong it will get approved
and you will think you getting hits when you are not. Please copy and
paste all your websites when submitting them or posting them in emails
etc. It is very easy to make a mistake when typing, but impossible to
make one when you copy and paste.

Do you sign up for every program that you see and try to promote them
all at the same time? This is another way to lose potential signups. If you
have 500 hits but promote 25 sites that means each site will only get 20
hits. Wouldn't it be better to send all 500 hits to one site? The only
way you are going to have success with multiple programs is if you have a huge
list to email. If you join a new program then you should concentrate all of your
promoting on that program. Adding it along with 9 other programs is very
counterproductive in my opinion.

Do you think that text and banner ads are worthless? I promise you they are
not. Sure the clickthru rate on them is low and you will not generate 100
signups through 500 text ad impressions, but each click you do get on your
banners and text ads is a REAL visitor. They are not there because they
have to be to earn credits or 1 penny, they are there because they WANT
to be there. I would rather have 50 visitors to my site from a text or banner
ad then 500 from a traffic exchange or PTC. Another great thing about text
ads is that you test different headlines with them. If you have 5 text ads all
promoting the same thing but using different headlines and one of the
ads has 10 clicks on it and another one has 0, then you know that is a good
headline. You can then use that headline as a subject line when emailing
any lists you belong to. Then you can replace the one that has 0 clicks with
the one that has 10 or you can try a new one to see if it works better.
Same thing with banners. Try several out, and see which one is getting clicks
when you find one, use that banner on any site that you have banner
impressions on. It takes only a few minutes to place the ads, and if you
get 20 clicks out of 10,000 impressions over time then isn't that worth it?

Have you ever heard someone say this in a forum or in an email that came across your inbox? I know I have and every time it makes me say to myself... these people don't know what they're talking about.. or do they?

Sure if they're not using them correctly then it is a waste of time for them. They're wasting their time using the TE's to advertise because they don't know how to use them effectively.

On the other hand... they're not a waste of time to many people because they do know how to use them effectively.

Today, I want go into the top 5 ways to use TE's effectively.

1. Start with the end in mind. If you want to provide a product they want or desire to a surfer of a TE then you need to ask yourself what they want?

What do most TE surfers want and desire? Well one things for sure you know they want more traffic. You know they're using the TEs to get more traffic... and you know they're goal is get more people to their sites. I think I said the same thing 3 times. :o)

That's an easy one... so is there a product that you own, promote or can create that would be what they want or desire?

Let's say you come up with a product that will help them surf in half the time they're doing now (that's not cheat software :o). Or a new software tool that will help them manage all their TE accounts for them.

Would that be something they would want or desire? You Bet!

So, that's something you have to keep in mind. Too many people are promoting things in TEs that no one cares to buy or use. That's another reason why promoting TEs in TEs works so well. That's what the surfer is looking for #1... Traffic generating tools or services.

Okay so let's say you have the coolest and newest tool that every surfer has got to have... and they can afford to buy it. Now that's half the battle and you've won that one before you even step onto the battle field.

2. Create a Splash Page that lists the top benefits they want and a catchy graphic that stops them dead in their tracks. Too many people promote long sales pages in the TE's that people just don't have the time to read while they're surfing. Remember there goal while they surf is to generate traffic to their sites.

You have to catch their eye first by putting something in front of them that will stop them dead in their tracks and then get them to click over to your site from the Splash Page. That way you have their undivided attention. Your headline needs to contain a sense of urgency. It must tap into anticipation, desire, curiosity, and other emotional hot buttons. It must have a call to action.

Keep in mind, once they click over to your site... it better be something that interests them or they're gone for good and chances are even if they see your page 1,000 more times they won't ever click it again. :o(

3. Lead capture pages... these still work very well. If you give them enough information to get their curiosity flowing, but not enough for the whole enchilada, then you can get them to fill out your lead capture page for more info, or to download a free product. The secret here is to give them something they would gladly pay for, but they don't have to since you're giving it to them for free (plus that let's you know what they're interested in... and means you can sell similar products to them later).

Now if you've captured their name and email to follow up with them for a sale, then It's best from this point to send them some follow up messages that will drip your sales messages over days and weeks with the ability to buy the product at anytime through out the emails you send them.

How many emails should you set up to go out? That's up to you... if you test the emails and know that on day 3 of the emails 90% of the subscribers buy, then you might not need to keep adding email after email. Set up about 5 and add on if necessary. Keep testing and find out what works or doesn't.

4. Squeeze Pages. This is a combination of both a Splash Page and a Lead Capture Page in one. It gets the viewer to fill out the form and once they do they get redirected to your sales page with a more open mind because they just gave you their name and email for more info.

Then you can send them the follow up emails like the lead capture page does. Just make sure if they buy your product from the sales page that you stop sending them emails especially if after a certain amount of messages you start offering lower prices. You don't want upset customers knowing they could have paid less for the product.

5. The Free Report... this is where you give them access right to your Free Report. This can be great for the skeptics out there. These are the people that have gotten burned from opting into too many email lists and they aren't going to just give up their name and email anymore. They get way too many emails as it is and don't trust anyone.

So, adding a link to your Free Report right from a Splash Page can help these people click over and get more comfortable with you and what you're offering before they have to give out their info. Then after they read the report, give them a way to opt-in for more info.

My suggestion to you is to first get something they want, then second add all three methods to present the info through out the TE's. Then third... test each one and see which generates the highest return on investment.

Okay, now here's the most important tip in getting results from promoting in the TE's.

After setting up a product you believe they will want, and implementing all three advertising methods and sending about 10,000 unique visitors to those pages... if you don't see people opt-in or get a sale... Then Stop! That's it... quit wasting your time. You're right... Traffic Exchanges Are a Waste of Time.

I bet that won't happen! Actually, I've had so much success using the TE's I know that won't happen. And if it does...please let me know and I will take the time to explain why it didn't happen and show you what you did wrong or why it didn't work for you.

If you have a website or you promote someone else's' website as an affiliate, you need to drive traffic to it.

Without traffic, you won't get visitors. And without visitors, you won't make money, sales, get subscribers, etc. What good is a website without any traffic? And if the site is getting traffic, what good is it if it's not targeted traffic?

There are many ways to drive traffic to your site, both free and paid. But we are not going to talk about paid traffic right now. That is a totally different topic and could take hours to cover.

So, back to free traffic. Some ways of getting free traffic to your site is by Search Engine Optimization, surfing for traffic, or getting it passively.

SEO takes time and a lot of work. When you join sites that are surf for traffic sites, you have to look at other members' sites in order to earn advertising credits for your site to be displayed when another member is surfing.

The only problem with this is that although the traffic is free, it is not targeted. Everyone who is a member only surfs for the credit and very rarely even looks at the site, they just minimize their window on their PC and multi-task. So, the traffic is crap and worthless.

Now, let's talk about the best way to get free targeted traffic. It's called Instant Buzz. Instant Buzz is a service that gives you advertising credits as you surf the web like you normally would. What you do is download the toolbar for free, it only takes a minute. Then, you set up your ads in the members area. And bam, you ads are being displayed on other members' tool bars as they surf.

You can also put Instant Buzz ads in emails that you send to your friends. These are called mail space ads. And your ad will get displayed in other members' emails. The last thing you can do is put a hyperspace ad on your website which will help you refer other members.

When you refer other members, you will also get a percentage of the credits they earn which will go towards your ad credits.

If someone likes your ad and is interested in what it says, then they click on it and end up on whatever site it was that you were promoting. Now that's targeted traffic! And it was free.

So make sure you visit the link in the resource box to start driving targeted and quality traffic to your website today. It will only take you a couple of minutes to start bringing visitors to your site.

Undoubtedly, you've heard about Google's AdSense and you are thinking about giving it a go. But is it really worth placing an AdSense banner on your site?

The answer is a definite yes. You could always have some other banner on your site, or even use some search of affiliate ad program and that would probably make you some money, given of course that your site enjoys a healthy amount of visitors. However with affiliate marketing, it is expected that the visitor from your website completes a sale before you are remunerated.

But that's nowhere near what you get for using AdSense. There are people who earn in excess of 100.000 dollars per year by using AdSense. And it doesn't just stop with making more money. Firstly, the ads are text only. That means they're by far less obtrusive on your visitors then your average, flashy banner that's designed to catch the eye of the visitor.

Sure, you'll have to ensure they get better placement, so as to be noticed but despite that they don't bother viewers as much as traditional ads. Think about the many sites you've seen using pop-ups, floating banners and many other schemes that will have visitors screaming in anger every time they visit the said website. You can actually do better then that, annoying people less and still making an amount of money.

Secondly, the ads are generated based on the contents of your site automatically. When you use an affiliate ad program, you have to specify certain categories that your sites belong to.

However, if any page on your site falls outside of these categories, the banners aren't targeted anymore. And what that means is that you're potentially showing ads to people who don't have any interest in them and that can lead to inefficiencies.

With Google AdSense that just about never happens: the ads present on your site will always be in sync with whatever your visitors are interested in and that adds to your site's value and to the revenue it produces.

What's more, the look of these banners and their size is customizable, which means they will feel more integrated with the rest of your site's content, which brings an increase in your site's overall visual quality as opposed to a traditional approach.

The Home Based MLM Business

Home based MLM business has been around for decades. In fact, it's probably safe to say that virtually all MLM business is, or at least certainly can be, home based.

That's often the beauty of the MLM industry and the primary intrigue for those who join an MLM as a distributor.

The first home based MLM business was Nutralite, which is now a subsidiary of Amway. Nutralite, founded in 1949 by Jay VanAndel and Rich DeVos, was the start of network marketing and the start of the food supplement and vitamin sales industry. In 1959, after long standing internal wrangling between the manufacturing subsidiary and the marketing folks, VanAndel and DeVos decided to create a whole new company as a resolution. This was how Amway, the first national home based MLM business, was formed.

Amway bought the Nutralite product and firm in 1969 and has long retained its title and largest MLM business in the world, home based or otherwise.

Viewing the Amway success, other home based MLM business ventures soon cropped up, including those not so reputable. A scam called the Ponzi scheme, actually developed back in the 1920's, was redesigned to look like an MLM but designed to deliver profit to only the designers and the con artists running the scam. This home based MLM business look alike came to be known as a pyramid scheme.

The basic difference between a legitimate home based MLM business - one that can and does actually reward every hardworking distributor with commissions on the products they sell - and a pyramid scheme is that there is a product that does pay profit to the seller. A pyramid scheme is solely about rewarding those at the top of the pyramid heap.

In a pyramid scheme, which, by the way, is illegal, the scammers lure others to join what they present as a legitimate home based MLM business by telling them of hefty profits quickly and ask that the victim and would-be distributor, send payment for the products to sell. In a true home based MLM business there is also typically an upfront cost for a sample box of products to start selling but those products are legitimate for sale products. In a pyramid scheme, what the would be entrepreneur gets for her or his payment, is the information on how to present other would be distributors with the lure of quick dollars, take their money and send them the very same instructions on luring others. There is no product in a pyramid scheme.

My Prospecting Secrets Revealed!

Let me start off by explaining the biggest benefit of providing your downline members with a viral prospecting system.

What makes "why" so important to your success.

When you have setbacks on the road to success and you will. Look to your "why" and remember the reason you have to succeed. This can't be a want. This has to be something you need because a want is not strong enough. Example: I have a wife who is disabled and I should stay at home, but I need an income. Which will come first? Make your "why" a need, and when you succeed you will get what you want.

My why: I need an online income, so that I can spend more time with my wife... plus my knees need some rest from being an ex-Miner and window cleaner. I need an income for early retirement and travel and so I won't end up in a wheelchair from knees that are no good.

2. Commitment

What you are willing to do to succeed? Take a look at your resources. This can be Time, Talent, or Money. How much of your resources are you going to commit to your success? This is a secondary income for most people, so keep that in mind as you look at your resources.

Time is something that you will have to commit to your success. How much time is up to you, there is no magic number. What is important is that you be consistent. Set a comfortable amount of your time and stick with it on a daily basis.

Do you have a talent that your Residual Victory business can benefit from web design, marketing experience, computer skills or any other skill.

Do not drain your family budget to put money in to your business.

If you have extra money available to use for a business venture then use it wisely. What I consider wise use of extra money for your Residual Victory business, GDI, Response Magic Autoresponder, the advertising co-op when available. Total out of pocket $50.00 (although you can do it for less) but only if you have extra money that will not effect your family or personal finances.

My commitment: I'm committed to helping my friends and partners succeed in their Residual Victory Business

Time: 2 hours a day..5 days a week

Talent: I don't really have any for this business but I am learning and what I learn I will pass along for your benefit

Let's Get to Know One Another

I want to take this opportunity for you to get to know me and my family.

The family is one the most precious relationships and privileges one will have in life. Here is a pic of me, my wife Janet, our daughter Michelle and our son Mark. We are in the little village of Positano in Italy. It's on the Amalfi coast just south of Naples.

I set out in network marketing and working online in order to spend more time with those that I love. I use the one where I can see 8 TE pages on one browser page. That way I can click away and get around 800 clicks in half an hour.
Also, use the training that Yorgo provides. Login tohttp://www.yorgotalk.com/ and you can either ask question from the 24/7 support or the nightly training at 9 pm GMT. You can't lose.

Time for another lesson on getting your website seen by lots of people.

Before we go into the program set ups, I need to explain a very popular tool that is used by many folks.

That being Traffic Exchanges.
At first I thought the idea of sitting in front of a computer clicking for credits was a dumb idea.
BUT.. alot of folks do it so I sat down and tried to figure out the best way to make use of these Traffic Exchanges. I came up with something that works. Took a lot of work to make websites with tracking links so I could really tell if I was getting sign ups from these exchanges.
I was pretty surprised at what I found out.

Number one was, not all exchanges work the way they claim.

Number two was, some of them do work..LOL

If you don't know what Traffic Exchanges do, here is a brief overview.

Lots and lots of people sign up at these sites so they can get other people to look at their website.But, in order to get folks to see your website, you have to get credits by looking at other peoples websites.That is called surfing for credits.
You sit in front of your computer and view other sites for 20 seconds each. Then you click a link and you get a credit and you are on to the next website.The credits you build up are really website views of your own site by other folks. One credit, one view.

Free members usually get 1/2 to 1/3 of a credit for every site they view for 20 seconds. Paid members get a one for one credit when surfing. Usually for less time like 10 or 15 seconds.

Ok, here is what I came up with. First off I didn't want to spend hours surfing these sites for credits. Second thing was, I did want others to see my website. You still with me..?

When you join a T E (Traffic Exchange), they should give you a number of credits just for jo-ining. Even if you are a free member. They also should give you credits for getting others to sign up with your referral link. These are two ways to get credits without surfing.

My third way to get credits without surfing is to be a paid member. I spend 5 to 10 bucks a month on several TE's that I know get me sign ups. That keeps my credit numbers in the thousands every month at each exchange without me having to surf.

Add these up and you end up with alot of credits or website views.
Credits for signing up.Credits for referring others.Credit for being a paid member.

Now, when you first sign up at a TE, you will need to surf 25 or so sites to get your account activated. That should be it. Make sure your pop up blocker is on.. LOL

Using our system and including this letter in your lessons, you should be able to get people to sign up with you at these TE's. Credits for you.This stuff is free. Everyone tries free things.

Pageswirl is crucial because it has a professional rotatorAs a free member you can insert 5 url's into the rotator thenyou assign your Pageswirl rotator url to the traffic exchange. Then if you wish to change any sites you want viewd you go to Pageswirl and change it rather than every traffic exchgange you have subscribed to.

Although I do surf to see what's new and what others are doing.

One other thing about these exchanges. When you become a pa-id member the timer goes from 20 seconds down to as much as 10 seconds.You also get a 1 to 1 credit for surfing.
Also, when you set up your link to be viewed, don't just set up one. Set up as many as you can. I set up the same link three to five times. Just gets you into the rotation that much more.

There's no snow anymore, what with all this global warming. I blame Bush and Blair. Them two have got a lot to answer for. Mind you, I bet their Mum's loved 'em. Somebody has to.

Me and the Missus are gearing up for a brief winter break in January. There's one of those continental centreParcs nearby in Sherwood Forest. Even though it's so close it still feels like a holiday because it's cut off from the world - it's a great stress buster. You'd do well to try one. They are all over Europe ( A Dutch idea)

Visit Sheffield - it's full of Good Yorkshire folk - plus, it's my home town.

Sheffield lies in South Yorkshire and has a population of over 1/2 a million. I'm very proud of my hometown (there's no place like home) and its heritage. Sheffield is famous worldwide for its steel production and its silverware. Since the Thatcher era of the 80's the city has had to diversify, much like other cities that were built on their Victorian foundations and the industrial revolution.

I'm 50 in April. Middle age seems to be the time when broadness of the mind and narrowness of the waist seem to swap places.
Do you get neurotic? Or is it just me?
Mind you, they do say that once you are over the hill you pick up speed!

I have to behave myself - been with Janet the Glaswegian for 30 years and you don't get that for double murder!
My missus is from the rough end of Glasgow, Scotland, she's 5 foot 2 and psychotic which is equivilent to an degree where she comes from.
I might post some pics from when we were married and then you'll see the attraction.

But, a husband is living proof that a woman can take a joke.
A woman marries a man expecting that he will change, but he doesn't. A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change and she does - it's not fair.

This is me, the wife and the kids in Positano, Italy in June of 2004. It was a truly enchanting place and I will go back there again.
What's your favourite spot?
I love Italy, the food, the people, the culture and of course it's rich in history.
I'm also a fan of their cars. I'm a member of the FIAT Motor Club here in the UK and I've owned over 300 FIAT's over the years along with Alfa Romeo's and Lancia's. Whilst the supercars look good they are not practical.
So, what's your favourite car? If money was no object what would you buy?
I'm also into Calcio - Italian Footy (soccer you American cousin's). I'm also a card member of Juventus from Turin in Northern Italy. In April we plan to travel down to Torino to see Juve play Fiorentino - a truly grudge match.
Anyway, let me know your prefernces. It's good to hear from others.

Time to Introduce Myself

Howdy

This is Kevin Stones aka "wednesdayite" from the rough end of Sheffield in Blighty (England). I am 50 this coming year (2006), but please keep it quiet. Strange enough, I still feel 18 inside, it's just the outside that's falling to bits and getting bigger!
My wife, Janet was born in the Gorbels in the east end of Glasow, Scotland and raised in Liverpool when she moved there as a little girl. She talks like a Scouser too.
We have 2 grown up kids. A daughter Michell who lives in London and a son, Mark who still lives at home. His idea of a sandwich is a horse between 2 mattresses.
I love proper footy (English style), beer and travelling.
I have been online since July 2004 and it's took me all this time to work things out although I have had a good teacher in Steve Price from good ol' USA (My American cousin (not blood related)). I am going to frighten him one day by visiting the States. The beer's are on him.
